No. The DPM is a spiritual practice rooted in Christian prayer and discernment. It is not a scientific or medical treatment and cannot medically diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, mental health condition, or emotional disorder using medical means, nor is it intended to. The term “diagnostic” in this context is a spiritual reference speaking about receiving revelatory insight from the Holy Spirit, not a scientific or medical reference to any form of medical treatment or condition. While the DPM can be used as part of a process to heal to physical and emotional problems, it is done by removing spiritual barriers to the individual receiving divine healing through divine healing prayer. The DPM is NOT an alternative form of medical treatment, and it cannot guarantee results in any knowable timeframe. It takes as long as it takes, and as such should never be used in place of medical or psychological treatment. Participation in this prayer practice is voluntary and undertaken with the understanding that it is a spiritual practice, is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care, and anyone who uses it as such does so at their own risk. Furthermore, learning or use of this method does not constitute medical or psychological diagnosis or treatment. Individuals experiencing physical or mental health concerns should always seek the counsel of a licensed healthcare provider.

The DPM was developed as a result of biblical teachings in alignment with the Holy Spirit. The Bible has a lot to say about not just how to receive divine healing, but how and why we get damaged in the first place, the spiritual forces opposed to us getting healed in soul and body and how to deal with them, as well as what Jesus did to restore us and make us whole. This method pulls many of those principles together into a comprehensive method that is designed to adjust to fit the individual need.

Yes. The DPM is something anyone can learn and use, and is highly compatible with pastors and leaders. If a church leader is interested, they can contact us and set up a weekend workshop to teach their congregation.

It varies widely. It is impossible to give a specific timeframe for any specific problem or condition. One person may experience complete resolution the first time using this method while someone else might take a year or longer. The reason for this is that the barriers each individual faces on their healing journey is different—whether dealing with belief systems, behavioral patterns and habits, deeply rooted emotional wounds, trauma responses, and more. How long a problem or injury has been there and the nature of that issue can also be contributing factors. Furthermore, the person facilitating the session (whether doing it by oneself or with someone else) also plays a role. There are too many variables to be able to give timelines and timeframes. However, there are things an individual can do to accelerate their journey. One of the keys to seeing success with the DPM is “consistency over time”. Hebrews 6:12 puts it well when it says to “. . . imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” We cannot give timeframes, but experience has demonstrated that as long as someone persists with the method they will eventually get breakthrough. We also have a Diagnostic Prayer Community that is made up of people walking out this healing journey together. The DPM is focused on changing the internal conditions of the individual with the goal of helping them heal both soul and body, but it does not always provide the same insight into life patterns that speaking with a therapist might yield. As a spiritual/religious practice, there are no licensing requirements or state boards associated with practicing this method, nor is it a form of medical or psychological training. While spirituality often has a lot of overlap with various aspects of psychology and as such certain results might be similar, the training a therapist receives is very different and far more extensive than the training someone receives to use the DPM for themselves or with others. The two can be used in tandem, but our official position is that neither one is a substitute for the other.

There are a range of benefits to joining the diagnostic prayer community. The first benefit is that members receive early access to new tools, and resources. Second, people get better results when they aren’t alone. Being part of a community of people walking a similar journey provides spiritual, psychological, and emotional momentum. It also creates relational support one to another. We were never meant to walk through life‘s problems alone. The Bible talks about how we are meant to share one another’s burdens, and walking your healing journey out in a community is a practical way to do this. A key part of this method is hearing from Holy Spirit. One of the many ways Holy Spirit speaks to us is through other people. By taking part in the community it creates additional opportunities for us to receive from God through one another. As a member of the community, you will have the opportunity to join weekly calls with the founder, Michael King, where you can ask questions, see and participate in live demonstrations, have an avenue to connect in real-time with other members of the group, and accelerate your breakthrough and that of others present. As with anything, practice brings improvement, and the more opportunities you have to practice the method and see it being used, the better positioned you are to take use it yourself.
